On January 7th, 2011 Kirk proposed to me. He rented a shiny red jeep and came and picked me up from my home. We rode through East Canyon which was covered in beautiful white snow and has a winding stream through out the country side. When we reached a road that was not plowed Kirk gunned the jeep and tried to ram the embankment so that we could flatten it out enough to clear it. On the second run the jeep got high centered. Ha ha we spent the next hour stuck while Kirk tried to dig us out of the snow with his hands and what ever he could find in the car. Luckily the plow man for the area stumbled on us and helped pull us out. (The original plan was to four-wheel up to our spot that we had up immigration canyon using a back way through east canyon. It was a good thing that we got high centered because when kirk asked the plowman if we would be able to get up top he told him that it was under 6ft of snow and that we would have definitely gotten stuck up yonder if we hadn't gotten high centered where we were at. It was a sweet thought though Kirk- Very romantic.) As we started back down the canyon the sun was starting to set and Kirk was a bit frustrated. He pulled off to the side of the road where he thought he had spotted a path. The path consisted of one set of footprints in about a foot of snow. So as we walked down the path I was slipping all over the place and ended up getting stuck so Kirk had to lay in the snow in order to push me up onto my feet. He realized it wasn't going to get much better than that so he pulled out our photo booth pictures from his friends wedding (that was the day he realized he wanted to marry me) and handed it to me to read something he had printed on the back. ha ha it was too dark for me to read it so I had to hand it back to kirk to do the honors. After the sweet message kirk pulled out a little box got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. (The beautiful ring had sliped out of its spot and was about to fall into the snow. Thank heavens it didn't otherwise it would've been lost for good.) I said--- "YES!!!" and kirk yelled "SHE SAID YES!!"
Inside it is engraved "Appreciated, Adored, Loved"
After that we drove to a spot to wait for our dinner reservation. While we were waiting we were taking pictures and all of a sudden there were bright lights shinning through the window of the car. We sat there waiting for ten minutes until the cop finally tapped on the window. He then proceeded to ask for our ID's and ask us what we were up to and kirk told him we had just got engaged and asked if we were doing anything wrong. The cop said "no, as long as you keep your clothes on." Ha ha then he said "so i know what his story is but I have to ask you, are you here of your own free will?" Ha ha I decided to not get kirk into trouble so I said yes.

From there we went to Beni hannas for dinner. We met a very sweet couple who payed for our meal and brought our crazy but perfect day to an even more perfect end. I LOVE YOU KIRK!!
